🌟Fun Fact Friday - Ever wondered what Kymeta means? Our terminal uses electromagnetic waves based on our core metamaterial technology. Kyma – Greek for Wave Meta – Refers to Metamaterials Electromagnetic waves are energy waves created by the movement of electric and magnetic fields. They travel through space at the speed of light (about 299,792 km per second) and come in a range of wavelengths and frequencies. They are crucial in technology and carry information. 🔊 Metamaterials are engineered structures designed to have electromagnetic properties not found in nature. By manipulating their subwavelength structure, scientists can create materials with arbitrary control over electromagnetic waves. The potential applications are endless, including next-gen communication technologies. 🛰️ Kymeta has been leading innovation since our inception in 2012. We continue to ideate, develop, and launch first to market products. It’s in our DNA, and our name! #TechMagic #Metamaterials #Innovation #ScienceMagic #FutureTech 🚀

Our team recently provided a successful demonstration at the Marine Corps Ground Combat Center (#MCAGC), in Twentynine Palms, CA. The demo included a fully functional integration of a Tactical Edge Mesh Network (#MANET), utilizing Radio Over Internet Protocol (ROIP) which was back hauled over GEO and LEO satellite orbits in order to simulate the Network and Transmission Path used for #CommandandControl (#C2) over the Kymeta Osprey™ u8 hybrid-GEO-LEO (HGL) terminal. Nicholas Oren, Kymeta's Strategic Solutions Director - USMC and U.S. Navy, had the opportunity to interact with the staff and students of the Marine Corps Communications Planners Course (#MCPC), Communications Chiefs Course, and Warrant Officer Communications Course at the Marine Corps Communications and Electronics School (#MCCES). The staff expressed being excited to explore and learn about this groundbreaking technology, recognizing its vital role in the modern battlefield.
