When Harold Summers, reliability manager at our corrugated facility in Martinsville, Virginia, identified a critical safety risk in a maintenance task, he dedicated nearly a decade to developing a solution– the threader winder machine. Summers' innovation began with one focus: making sure employees go home the way they showed up to work. It significantly reduces the risks associated with changing the massive double backer belts, while also increasing efficiency.
