About us
Some 25+ years ago Gary and Colleen Worthington began their journey together to learn and perfect the art of baking artisan European breads. After many hours working in the kitchen they finally opened their first bakery in Orem, Utah during the fall of 1997. We know this successful bakery today as Kneaders. Kneaders has become a local favorite due to its high-quality food and home-like atmosphere. Our recipes are tried and true, perfected over the years, and specifically hand-crafted for the home baker. We want you to experience Kneaders in your own home, so we’ve included some of our award-winning recipes, such as, Rosemary Focaccia Bread, Chunky Cinnamon French Toast, Flourless Chocolate Torte, Artichoke Portobello Soup, and Raspberry Bread Pudding. With over 180 delicious recipes, you'll find a wide array of our favorite sandwiches, soups, breads, cakes, pastries, pies, and much more from our bakery. I've complained a LOT about the lack of hospitality out there in the world. Well, I had a GREAT experience with a cheerful and sweet cashier at Kneaders Bakery and Cafe in Highlands Ranch this past weekend. She made my entire day! And I haven't stopped thinking about it. It really stood out because I've been dealing with such apathetic staff lately. She was absolutely delightful and YES, I will be writing Kneaders to tell them about it. There are still some bright lights out there and they are lucky to have one.
