Making a Difference Every Day.

About us

We specialize in full-service senior living communities that offer an enriched lifestyle drawn from thoughtful details. When Andrew Kohlberg, our founder and president, purchased Kisco’s first retirement community in 1990, two thoughts emerged as the driving force: If my parents were to live in a retirement community, what would I want it to be like? And how would I want them to be treated? From these simple concepts, Kisco’s philosophy was shaped. We created our Principles, Values and Beliefs based on integrity, dignity and compassion. This belief system balances the needs of our residents, our employees – whom we regard as associates – and our business partners. Today our organization is nationwide, but we maintain a personal approach. We continuously reevaluate and refine our methods. We treat people with kindness and respect. We work to create environments that are inviting to residents, their families, and friends. We listen. At Kisco Senior Living, we aren’t aiming to be the biggest. We are aiming to be the best.

This is Kisco's National Director of Memory Care Services, Brenda Gurung, presenting at the National Association of Activities Professionals on Incorporating Effective Memory Care Practices Into Engagement. The room was packed, and she led a collaborative discussion of practical actions to improve service to all senior living residents. She says: "I absolutely love working with people on a dementia journey – it’s the best work: so full of purpose and grace, even in the difficult times. And conferences like NAAP are a great opportunity for professionals to share effective methods and insights with each other – it’s important to share those insights so we can all grow together."

Cheers to Maria, who has spent over two decades rising through the ranks of Kisco by making a difference in the lives of our residents and associates every day. "I am proud to reflect on my journey at Kisco Senior Living over the past 22 years. I began my career as a caregiver at one of Kisco's senior communities. I seized opportunities to expand my skills and knowledge by supporting in different departments such as human resources, resident activity programs, and sales. When presented with the opportunity to relocate to another Kisco community, I embraced the challenge and took on a dual role as Resident Relations Director and Environmental Services Director at BridgePoint. My dedication and leadership skills were recognized, leading to a promotion to Executive Director. After several years in this role, I made the decision to transition to a position that allowed me to support operations within the community and other Kisco communities as the Assistant Executive Director." -Maria Quintero

People in the workforce are looking for a company that values its associates, listens to feedback, and provide opportunities for growth. That is just what Kisco's Career Lattice Program does for our associates. The Career Lattice Program is a path filled with learning experiences and opportunities that an associate can explore to increase their knowledge, skills, and abilities. Today, we spotlight the graduates of the Career Lattice Associates at Magnolia Glen. The completion of Phase 1 has given them a deeper knowledge and appreciation for what it takes to make Magnolia Glen the place our residents call "home". Thank you and congratulations to this CLA class! We are proud of you and look forward to the next phases, and how this team will continue #makingadifferenceeveryday #careerdevelopment
