Kenton County is located in Northern Kentucky and is home to nearly 170,000 residents, making it the third most populous county in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Kenton County consists of nineteen cities and several areas of unincorporated county land. It is unique in that it has two county seats- one in the City of Covington and one in the City of Independence. Exciting things are happening on the Covington riverfront! As Judge/Executive Kris Knochelmann said during yesterday's topping out ceremony, the OneNKY Center "is a sign of the fact that we can do great things when we cooperate and work together." Once complete, the building will unite all our Northern Kentucky growth organizations under one roof and create the only wet lab space between Lexington and Columbus - a major win for Kenton County's burgeoning biotech industry. This building, once complete, will further ignite the collaboration happening throughout the Northern Kentucky region to ensure we continue to position our community to for long-term success and vitality. The OneNKY Center will serve as the future home of the OneNKY Alliance, BE NKY Growth Partnership, Northern Kentucky Port Authority, Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, Northern Kentucky Bar Association & Lawyer Referral Service, Thomas More University's division of external affairs, meetNKY Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau, The Catalytic Fund, Horizon Community Funds of Northern Kentucky and Covington Life Sciences Partners. In addition to office space, it will include lab space to fuel biotech research for new and existing regional firms. #OneNKY
