Deadline approaching! U.S. Department of Transportation’s Active Transportation Infrastructure Investment Program seeks to improve the safety, efficiency and reliability of public transportation to increase quality of life in rural communities throughout the nation. This new program created by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will award grants to help communities plan, design and construct safe active transportation networks – such as sidewalks, bike lanes and trails – to connect destinations within or between localities, like schools, workplaces, businesses, medical facilities and more.
