Harvest Pillar is sustainable. Especially when compared to treated wood. Not only is concrete more durable than treated wood with a significantly longer lifespan, but it's also less hazardous. Wooden trellis posts need to be treated with chemicals to keep them from quickly withering in the harsh sun, the problem is these chemicals are hazardous to human health and the environment. All this means that when it comes time to get rid of the treated wood, you have to take them to a designated facility and pay a fee to dispose of them. Why pay for your trellis post twice? With Harvest Pillar, you'll get a trellis post you can use and reuse for decades. Plus, do you really want something classified as hazardous buried in your soil right next to your precious crops? . . . #harvestpillar #trellis #trellising #agtech #agriculture #sustainablefarming #wineindustry

Thank you, Juan Torres, for your outstanding contributions to Jensen Precast over the last 30 years.   Before transferring to Jensen MetalTech in 2008, Juan worked at our precast facility right next door. Having worked in numerous positions for Jensen, Juan is incredibly knowledgeable and relied upon.   Jason Grove, the General Manager of Jensen MetalTech on Juan's outstanding 30 years with the company:   "Juan has been a valued team member for MetalTech since 2008, he has held roles in painting, welding, yard logistics, and truck driving. Juan is a very personable individual with a smile on his face whenever I see him. He is well-liked by his peers and considered a valuable resource in our organization. Thanks for everything you do, Juan."

Harvest Pillar is hitting the dirt. In Kingsburg, California, a three-man crew installed 194 concrete posts over two days. These posts are 11 feet tall and buried four feet deep. After attaching an auger to a skid steer, the installer bored holes for each Harvest Pillar to be inserted, backfilled, and packed. When you average it out, it took about two and a half minutes to install one post. Concrete trellis posts go in just as quickly as treated wooden posts, but without the downsides of using CCA-treated wood. Harvest Pillar doesn't rot like wood, and it's not susceptible to disease like wood. Also, CCA-treated posts are a huge no-no in organic operations. Now, after this quick installation, this field will soon transform from an empty dirt lot with nearly 200 concrete posts to a vibrant vineyard growing grapes that will one day become raisins. Cycle through all the photos to see our clips and caps in action. . . . #harvestpillar #trellis #trellising #vineyard #agriculture #sustainablefarming

When Nick Sciabica and his family decided to start a brewery, they knew they wanted to grow their own hops.  And why not? They have successfully grown grapes and olives in Modesto, California for nearly 100 years. But, a new crop means a new trellis system. They had experience with wood but weren't fans of the short lifespan. They looked into steel but were concerned it could rust out at the bottom in their farm's soft soil. Finding a trellis system that checked all their boxes seemed like a tall task. It appeared near impossible to find a trellis post with heights up to 24 feet, extreme longevity, and loads of accessories that make hop binding simple. Until they discovered Harvest Pillar by Jensen Precast. Harvest Pillar is the first concrete trellis post manufactured in the United States. They are durable, strong, tall, and most important to Nick, extremely long-lasting. Now, Nick Sciabica and his family have a trellis system they can pass down to the next generation of farmers in the family. Follow Harvest Pillar to keep up with Jensen Precast's newest product. And to learn more about a better way to trellis and why Nick chose concrete, visit our website: https://lnkd.in/gFjNSAZj . . . #harvestpillar #jensenprecast #trellis #trellising #agtech #hops #agriculture #sustainablefarming

It's typical to see Jensen Precast products piled up on job sites during excavation. As dirt exits, precast concrete enters. Manholes, drop inlets, vaults, risers, handholes, transformer pads, and more. Precast concrete is the roux that turns every project into a delicious gumbo. So, the next time you see a new project breaking ground, drive by really slowly and count all the precast ingredients on site. Odds are you might see a Jensen Precast product. #jensenprecast #concrete #precastconcrete #manufacturing #engineering
