“This is not something that we know we’ll ever achieve in perfection, and we don’t want to be perfect. We’re reaching for cultural humility and inclusion. Our journey is to make sure that we hear things, we are willing to open our eyes to see them, and then make adjustments so that we do better.” - Jackie Levin, RN We spoke with Jefferson Healthcare's Patient Advocate and Transgender Care Navigator, Jackie Levin, RN about our ten-year journey toward creating a more equitable, just healthcare experience for patients. Jefferson Healthcare is working to ensure people in East Jefferson County have access to the care they need. Many people in our region might benefit from using telemedicine to meet with a provider, but they don't do it because they're not sure how, or they don't know what to expect. We recently spoke to primary care provider, Char Adels, PA about telemedicine at Jefferson Healthcare. Adels talks about what patients can expect from telemedicine, and how Jefferson Healthcare makes it easy to connect with a provider, even if you're not a tech whiz. Check out our latest article to get the whole story!

At Jefferson Healthcare, we understand the challenges many rural residents face when it comes to accessing specialized medical services. Waiting months, big city hassle, and traveling long distances for a ten-minute consultation is not only inconvenient and costly but can delay crucial treatment — or make it impossible to access it at all. Because of these challenges, we're bringing tele-rheumatology and tele-neurology to our hospital. Read this message from our CEO, Mike Glenn, to learn more about how we're bring top-quality care to the communities we serve. 👇 👇 👇
