The North Carolina Global TransPark's former terminal building is transitioning into needed office space thanks to the team at Jackson Builders Inc of Goldsboro, NC, the lead contractor for this significant project, which is commencing the second phase of renovations. Phase 2 of the renovation project involves adding approximately 9,000 square feet of office space and installing infrastructure that will allow for second-floor development in a future phase. The demolition work is progressing well, with 80% completion achieved. Construction for this phase is scheduled to kick off within the next few weeks, keeping the project on track for completion in the first quarter of 2025. This renovation is part of a larger plan to repurpose the old passenger terminal building at the NC Global TransPark. Upon completing phase 3, the terminal will accommodate all North Carolina Global TransPark and North Carolina Global TransPark Economic Development Region staff and offer additional amenities. These include small business incubator areas, training and education spaces, and meeting and flexible office facilities. The remodeling of the NC Global TransPark terminal building signifies a new chapter for the facility, enhancing its functionality and providing a modern space for its occupants. The blend of renovation and repurposing efforts will benefit the staff and tenants and contribute to the area's overall growth and development. If you have been down Hwy 70 through Goldsboro in the past few weeks, you will notice things are moving at the new Sport Durst locations in Goldsboro. Mazda steel erection is rolling! Soon we will have all the primary, secondary structural, and roofing complete, with exterior walls not far behind. Site utilities have been installed simultaneously. The new Volkswagen dealership right next door has masonry walls nearing completion. If you pay close attention, you will see some conventional steel installation coming soon. We are thrilled at the progress being made by the team, and all our subcontract partners for these projects!  

Yesterday morning, Harnett County Jetport held their ribbon cutting ceremony. A huge thank you goes out to Harnett County Economic Development and Harnett County Jetport for allowing us to be a part of such a monumental project. We have been honored to work with some amazing people on this project, and we know that the Harnett County Jetport will do great things for the community.

Over the past several months, we have made considerable progress over at the Town of Knightdale Fire Station #1!     Framing, Drywall, Grading & Stone for curbing, door frames, and sprinkler heads have all been completed and installed. We are currently working on the fine grading for outside pavement and landscaping and installing HVAC.     In the next several weeks, we will install the gutters & down spouts, roof boots, and the wall between EMS and Fire Bays. We are so excited to see the rest of this project fall into place!    

Things are progressing nicely at the Sport Durst Mazda and Volkswagen projects. The Interior shop floor at the new Mazda location has been installed, and the masonry partition separating the shop and showroom is nearing completion. Steel erection is quickly approaching! VW footings will be starting in the coming days. We are proud to partner with Sport Durst Automotive Group, Mazda, and Volkswagen to complete these simultaneous neighboring projects!   

We have another recently completed project over in Sampson County!    We erected a 13,500 sq ft storage building for Sampson County that was partitioned off for the sheriff and EMS to both use. Each side received a finished and conditioned office with a bathroom, an electric overhead door, natural gas unit heaters, interlocked ventilation, generators, and high bay LED Lighting!     Take a look at the exterior and interior walkthrough below!    

We are officially wrapped up at Harnett County Jetport in Erwin, NC & we are so excited for what the facility will do for Harnett County. While the ribbon cutting has been rescheduled due to weather, enjoy some of the sneak peaks of the newly constructed facility.     Thank you Harnett County Jetport & Harnett County Economic Development, for entrusting us with such a special project!  

Jackson Builders was pleased to attend the 67th annual Wayne County Chamber of Commerce Safety Awards Luncheon with the NC Department of Labor (NCDOL) Friday afternoon.     This recognition is a testament to our commitment to creating a safe environment for our employees and customers, and we are honored to have received a gold award.  

A few weeks ago, Kent & Brook attended the Butler Conference in San Antonio, Texas, where we received the fifty-five million sales award! This award recognizes our longstanding relationship with Butler Manufacturing and our salesmanship, professional management, and honest business policy. We are thankful that we were able to attend and a big thank you to Butler Manufacturing !!
