Talent will be sponsoring this event which will be an interactive evening with IXDA partnering with the non-profit Open Haven Ltd who support and work with survivors of domestic abuse. I had the opportunity to facilitate a Design Thinking workshop for IxDA Cincinnati. AMEND Consulting provided a beautiful creative space that allowed the group to relax, connect, and take action. Here, it was about providing the group with the tools necessary to develop high-quality concepts to keep their brand, business, products, and services relevant. To get them from point A to B, we had to start with empathy. Empathy that allows for deep human insight, inspiration, and the energy necessary to push past mediocrity. We learned by doing… Leaned into our creative confidence… And discovered how to leverage the innovator in us all to create transformative products, services, and experiences. 🚶🏽♀️➡️☕ While the coffee culture was new to me moving to Australia, the social ritual means so much more. I realize that I used to do it in different ways in the States - a walk behind the path at GE, downtown Palo Alto, or the Amazon campus - chatting away with fellow designers. 🌅 Sydney has opened up for me through IxDA, Design Outlook, and Therapy For Designers and I love investing in the community.
