1% is work, the other 99% is being in God.... Last week, I had the privilege of have a lunch with a great mentor that life has gifted me. He is a remarkably successful individual in his field, with impeccable professional credentials and an outstanding resume. But what truly sets him apart is not his "papers and titles," but his wisdom and generosity as a person. During our conversation, we talked about what we love most, and he shared a phrase that deeply resonated with me: "What I love most is having the gift of positively influencing others." My mind was blown. 😊 I realized that I am always focused on doing, executing, achieving, and materializing. But how exhilarating would it be to plant a seed at the right moment in someone's evolution or a project's development, and then watch it transform into something magnificent through its own merits? Instead of feeding our egos, we nurture virtue in others. Isn't that wonderful? This comment came at the perfect time, as I find myself at this crossroads in my personal and professional growth: as a leader, a parent, and a colleague. How much should I execute, and how much should I do to let others shine? Later that night in Madrid, I found myself thinking deeply, coincidentally in front of the statue seen in the photo, depicting Felipe IV. During the early part of his reign, he shared the responsibility of state affairs with Don Gaspar de Guzmán, allowing the latter to shine and lead the kingdom to a new state of splendor. I also recalled an old saying someone taught me a while ago: "In life, 1% is work, the other 99% is being in God", in other words, "In the journey of life, 1% is the effort we put in, and 99% is about aligning with a higher purpose and cultivating our values". It struck me as a great summary that encompasses everything I am trying to convey in these lines. As I ponder and find ways to continue this process, I would appreciate any comments from those who wish to share, to keep inspiring me on this journey. What do you think of what I've shared here? Today we have completed our Q2 OKRs. We made progress on all of our OKRs. One that touches me the most is that we set out to win one of this year's Catalyst Awards and we did! But far from being something central, and while very important, it is one of many KRs that are accelerating our innovation, go-to-market and culture goals. It's amazing how much and how fast things happen in this company, as I tell our potential customers and partners, when you work with Iquall you have 140 people with a lot of heart and creativity (and maybe a little bit crazy) trying to create value in the telecom industry through network automation solutions. Being part of the #TMForum Digital Transformation World event in Copenhagen was a delight. I would like to express my gratitude for all the learning opportunities and memories I have from #DTW24. My understanding and awareness of AI/ML have been enhanced by the opportunity to interact and share knowledge with outstanding professionals in the telecom and digital transformation fields, discussing current developments, challenges, impending inventions, and—above all—the first steps in achieving progress and a sustainable future. This year, first time, I actively participated in the Catalyst programme—which offers excellent opportunities for CSPs, partners, and hyperscalers to collaborate and make a difference by advancing innovative business and technological concepts. Great results were obtained and presented by both the Catalyst teams: 'DarkNOC: GenAI propels insights-driven NetOps' and 'Interoperable Logical Resource Management Platform'.
