MOOC stands for Massive Online Open Course in Cybersecurity Fundamentals offered by the Cybersecurity Workforce Alliance and iQ4. The cost for this 4-week course is $49.99 and the next offering is on July 17th. The MOOC provides cybersecurity education, resulting in knowledge, skills and pointers to career pathways to help fill the millions of Cybersecurity vacancies worldwide. Utilizing the National Institute of Standard Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework, the course introduces participants to terminology, threats and response, legal and ethical concerns, as well as how to work with one another in a job role. Participants receive five Micro-Credential Digital Badges, one for each lesson mastered and one Macro-Credential Digital Badge when the course completes identifying the skills and proficiencies achieved. In addition, each participant receives the iQ4 Digital Achievement Wallet at start of course for identifying career pathways and cybersecurity jobs you can apply to real-time.
