Check out the 3 facts about Independence Day below! 📜 The Declaration of Independence was adopted on July 4, 1776, marking the United States' independence from Great Britain. 🎆 The Fourth of July is celebrated with fireworks, representing the "rockets' red glare" from the national anthem. 🎉 Parades, barbecues, and patriotic displays are common traditions on the Fourth of July, bringing communities together to celebrate. Our office is closed on Thursday 7/4 for the holiday, reopening with regular business hours on Friday, July 5th.

🌟 Today we celebrate Canada Day, also known as Dominion Day! Here are some fun facts to celebrate and honor this important day! 🍁 Why July 1st? Canada Day commemorates the anniversary of the confederation of Canada in 1867 when the three separate colonies of the Province of Canada, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia united into a single Dominion within the British Empire. 🎖️📜 Official Holiday Canada Day became an official statutory holiday in 1982. It is celebrated with various events such as parades, fireworks, concerts, and barbecues across the country! 📅🎆 Symbols of Canada Day The Maple Leaf, a symbol of Canada for over 150 years, is proudly displayed on the national flag. The colors red and white represent the nation's heritage and unity. 🍁✨

Additionally, I love the abounding use of collaboration and teamwork within the office, which has significantly allowed me to excel in the workplace. 🌍 What I’m looking forward to: I'm eager to continue contributing to the company's accomplishments in enhancing and working on initiatives that directly improve our clients' relocation experiences worldwide. I also look forward to utilizing and sharing new usages of technology for future projects within the company. Daniel 🎓 Going to school for a major in Global Studies with a minor in Business and Spanish ⚽ Fun fact: My favorite soccer team is Chelsea 💬 What I like so far: I love how friendly everyone has been to me throughout my time here. Everyone is willing to help me out with projects, any questions I have, and with my well-being in general. The sense of community within IOR has been amazing so far. 🌍 What I’m looking forward to: I'm looking forward to further helping the company find ways to make work more efficient and being able to work on projects that directly help our clients feel more comfortable while moving across the world.

🌞✨Summer Strategy was an absolute blast from beginning to end. This year's theme, #Connections, truly shone through in every session. We enjoyed brief but impactful micro lessons, and inspiring talks from guest speakers including Clarence Weaver of C&W MARKET AND ICE CREAM PARLOR and Sonia Collins of Sokana Collective, a doula agency, also in Evanston. Colleagues from near and far united for team-building activities, a city scavenger hunt, and a speed dating session. We even brainstormed ways to boost our internal efficiencies and implement process improvements with a fun “AI Olympics” competition! 🌟 Today we celebrate Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day! Here are some fun facts to celebrate and honor this important day! 💚❤️🖤 Why Galveston, Texas? Texas was one of the last states in the Confederacy where the Emancipation Proclamation was enforced. The arrival of Union troops ensured that the enslaved people in Texas finally heard the news of their freedom. 🎖️🗞️ Official Holiday Juneteenth became an official state holiday in Texas in 1980. It is now recognized as a holiday or observance in most U.S. states, and in 2021, it became a federal holiday!📅 Symbols of Juneteenth Juneteenth flag, created by activist Ben Haith in 1997, features a bursting star in the middle, representing a new freedom and a new people. The colors red, white, and blue signify that the formerly enslaved and their descendants were and are Americans. 🌟 Our office is closed on Wednesday 6/19 for the holiday, reopening with regular business hours on Thursday, June 20th.
