It has been a true honor to be a part of such a talented, exceptional team delivering this incredible project. Many hands have touched Gradient Canopy along the way, over almost 9 years, lead by a visionary and inspiring client Google (big shout out to Lauren Sparandara). Congratulations to the entire team on this incredible milestone! Introba is proud to have led the LEED Platinum and LBC Materials Petal certifications.
I'm excited to share that Gradient Canopy has officially earned LEED Platinum certification! Built with a focus on healthy and responsibly sourced materials, Gradient Canopy is a testament to Google's ongoing work to build a sustainable future. Later this month, Gradient Canopy will showcase LEED Platinum plaques made from reclaimed redwood in its lobbies and another made of recycled aluminum from Pixel phones in the Google Store – one more way that we’re integrating circular materials into this development. Thank you to everyone involved in this ambitious project! https://lnkd.in/eGfQudtH #LEEDPlatinum #Sustainability #GreenBuilding #Google

The aviation industry is the heartbeat of global connectivity, and we are proud to help develop some of the best airports in the world. From hubs, security systems, and technology to specialized support facilities, our expertise and comprehensive approach set us apart. Congratulations to our firms on their project involvement with two airports that received recent achievements in the World’s Best Airports, evaluated by AirHelp for its 2024 annual score report: # 1 in the World: Hamad International Airport, Doha – a collaborative project by Dar and Introba. Alongside Dar, who was the lead design architect and engineer for the airport's expansion, Introba provided design and on-site construction support for systems ranging from IT to security and baggage handling. The results of this project continue to elevate its reputation, providing trust and confidence to travelers, staff, and stakeholders. # 1 in North America: Salt Lake City International Airport, USA – The airport’s baggage handling system, powered by Introba, features over 25,000 feet of conveyor belts and advanced security. The system not only moves luggage but prioritizes safety with innovative explosive detection, showcasing thoughtful engineering that enhances the travel experience and benefits the community for years to come. These projects would not have been possible without the passion and dedication of every partner, client, collaborator, and team member who played a pivotal role in bringing innovative ideas to life. This morning, I had the privilege of attending the opening keynote by Bertice Berry,PhD. at the American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE) Health Care Facilities Innovation Conference. Dr. Berry's powerful words resonated deeply with the audience, offering profound insights and encouragement. Dr. Berry shared her journey with MS, reflecting on how she was once incredibly healthy before her diagnosis. She emphasized that we can't judge our new selves based on our past. Sometimes, we need to clean our filters to prepare for new opportunities and to recognize what we don't want in our lives. Her message was clear: we have the power to change our circumstances. She highlighted the value of the ASHE community, noting that we are among the few who truly understand the unique challenges of our roles in healthcare. Dr. Berry urged us to share our own stories because people are most interested in what genuinely matters. She reminded us to tell our stories, not everyone else's, and to understand that a story listener is different from a storyteller—they simply listen. Lastly, Dr. Berry stressed the importance of people knowing our names and the legacies we wish to leave behind. Her words were a powerful reminder of the impact we can have by being authentic and sharing our personal journeys. #ASHEInnovates #HealthcareLeadership #DrBerticeBerry #Legacy #Storytelling #HealthcareEngineering #ASHECommunity #HealthCareFacilitiesInnovation #weareintroba

Last Thursday, I had the pleasure of speaking at the TYLin/ Introba Town Hall meeting. It was so refreshing to see this year's high school student interns from Gwendolyn Brooks College. TYLin connects to mentor students from the local community and introduce them to engineering through summer internships. Seeing kids that look like me given this opportunity was heartwarming. Kudos to the CEO of TYLin, Matthew Cummings. This is how the industry should show up for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. These are the names of the students from the Chicago high school: Priscila Juarez, Bishop-Adam Ajilogba, Teniola Ajagbe, and Deven Frierson. Thank you to @Joyce Barnes for leading this effort. #GwendolynBrooksCollegePrep #TYLIN #TYLinConnects #TYLinBlueprint #weareintroba --- Let me know if you need any further changes!

CEO of TYLin | Head of Sidara Global Infrastructure Brands | Leading a Team of 5000+ Professionals in the Design and Development of Infrastructure Worldwide.
I had the privilege of touring Limberlost Place, an inspiring Introba project and soon-to-be Toronto's first Tall Wood Research Institute. This 10-story marvel showcases our unique systems design for a zero-carbon building, using nationally sourced materials and incorporating decentralized mechanical systems that work seamlessly with passive design elements to create an energy-efficient and healthy environment. The exposed mass timber structure, a first for a high-rise educational building, combines cutting-edge engineering with sustainable materials. Advanced mechanical features include radiant ceilings for heating and cooling, under-floor air delivery for ventilation and dehumidification, and rooms with solar chimney systems that provide natural light and ventilation when outdoor conditions are favorable. An integrated smart building system equips the structure with adaptable technology. In spring and fall, the building employs natural ventilation through a mix of manual and automated window operators, supplemented by solar chimneys that use thermal buoyancy instead of fans. Introba is delivering comprehensive services for the project, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, technology, and sustainability solutions. Once complete, it will become an educational hub for George Brown College, offering research, teaching, learning spaces, and a childcare facility for the community. A big thank you to Phil Silverstein, Principal and Contract Administrator at Moriyama Teshima Architects, and Chloe Dagenais, Building Systems Coordinator at PCL Construction, for taking the time to show me around the facility. Together, we're transforming the building landscape, proving that beautiful, functional spaces can also be environmentally responsible, and setting a new standard for low-carbon construction.
