Quality Manager-West Michigan Lakeshore Position Summary: The Quality Manager will oversee all quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure that products and services meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a quality management system (QMS), driving continuous improvement initiatives, and leading a team of quality professionals. Key Responsibilities: Quality Management System (QMS): Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS in accordance with ISO standards or relevant industry standards. Policy and Procedure Development: Establish quality policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistent quality across the organization. Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations and standards. Auditing: Plan and conduct internal and external audits, and manage non-conformances and corrective actions. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement through data analysis, process evaluation, and stakeholder feedback. Lead initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency. Team Leadership: Manage, train, and mentor the quality assurance team. Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization. Customer Focus: Address customer complaints and issues related to product quality. Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve customer satisfaction. Documentation: Oversee documentation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency. Maintain records of quality-related activities and performance metrics. Supplier Quality Management: Evaluate and manage the quality performance of suppliers and vendors. Conduct supplier audits and collaborate on quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering preferred or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in quality management in an automotive/metal stamping environment, with at least 8 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Certifications: Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or similar certifications are highly desirable. Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (IATF), regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using quality management software and tools. Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team. Experience in driving cultural change towards quality and continuous improvement. Working Conditions: This position may require occasional travel to supplier sites and company locations.
