I let AI rewrite my post - I must say: it did not get my intent, or understood the focus on utilities. And, it sure did not sound like me! However, AI is coming! AI will be a major part of our life which was clearly highlighted over my recent Utilities focused travel. Below is mine not AI! Last three weeks I attended three major utility conferences: EEI, APPA, and our own EIP. In all three conferences Artificial Intelligence emerged as a key (must have) tool for Energy Transition management. AI's role in addressing grid reliability and supply challenges while supporting net zero goals was highlighted repeatedly by the different speakers. AI computational capabilities is required in order to leverag Big and Frequent Energy Data volumes from AMI, SCADA, DER and all other data sources that are impacting grid operations.
