The Startup Community just got even better! Join us in congratulating the 35 outstanding Cohort 2 graduates of the AngelPath Academy for completing our two month inclusive investing development program. These impressive Latinx/e leaders from across the US are the next generation of venture investors (angels and/or fund managers) whose unique lens will help shape an innovation ecosystem that includes all, to benefit all. Collectively, Cohort 2 matched great intention with generous dedication to the intensive early stage angel investing curriculum. Gaining fundamental knowledge and skills through a pedagogy that included a bootcamp, weekly knowledge sessions, expert speakers and several mentor-supported investment projects, these AngelPath Academy alums are well prepared for their next chapter as investors. As we turn the corner to design and plan for Cohort 3 in late summer/early fall, we would like to thank our AngelPath Academy program partners, speakers, mentors, and staff who generously collaborated to make Cohort 2 such a success. What an exceptional few days of helping grow the Latinx/e startup ecosystem. After the successful 2024 LBAN SOLE Summit, we hosted 35 AngelPath Academy Cohort 2 members for an in-person inclusive investing “Bootcamp”. These talented mid-career and graduate school leaders traveled from across the country to build community, learn angel investing fundamentals and form syndicate teams that will be the basis of the final 8 weeks of their AngelPath Academy training. It was an inspiring and uplifting experience, one that all of us will fondly remember. This cohort of 35 fantastic leaders is eager to break down barriers of access to early stage investing knowledge. They represent an eclectic array of industries, geographies, and experiences emblematic of the diversity found across Latinx/e communities. We are incredibly grateful to the many folks that made the Bootcamp day an exciting and inspiring kick-off for them. To the incredible leaders on the founder panel - Noelle Acosta, Maria Jose Palacio and Tanya Menendez - thank you for sharing your stories of resilience and determination. To our partner, Serg Rodenzuela, at Wefunder, thank you for your encouragement and insight. To the wonderful Cohort 1 alumni, thank you for helping everywhere that was needed. To the Sobrato Center For Nonprofits and Sobrato Philanthropies, thank you for inviting us into your lovely space. We appreciate you all! Next, we look forward to guiding Cohort 2 as they apply their learnings from the weekly curriculum sessions to the startups they assess during the program. We can’t wait to see how and what they invest in over the next few months. #10000latinxangels Wefunder Angeles Investors Sobrato Philanthropies Hispanics in Philanthropy Elvia Perez Monica Martens Jorge M.
