One Mission. Community Banks.

About us

Independent Community Bankers of Colorado (ICBC) was organized in the autumn of 1973 as a not-for-profit corporation. Our vision remains to preserve independent community banking. We believe local independent community banks that support their local economies best serve our communities and citizens. ICBC values its members as we guarantee one bank one vote to ensure equal representation and an equal voice in our association. ICBC has been successful in supporting Colorado’s thriving independent community banking industry. We have led, and will continue to lead, issues affecting independent community banks at both the state and federal level. We are a member of the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA). Our Mission is to enhance and promote strong, profitable, independent community banks; advance common legislative and regulatory concerns; provide a forum that promotes ideas, relationships and communication of common objectives. It is our Mission to serve and promote our communities throughout Colorado. Members of the ICBC include state or national bank, industrial bank, savings bank or trust company dedicated to the preservation of an independent banking system that is located in Colorado or in states contiguous or within reasonable proximity to Colorado, as the ICBC Board of Directors approves for active voting members. We also have non-voting associate members who include any person, firm or corporation approved by the ICBC Board of Directors for associate membership.
