Upcoming Webinar Announcement 📢 IMGAIA: How AI Can Help Researchers Without a doubt AI is getting powerful. But how can we make it helpful? At Insilico Medicine, we are committed to developing breakthrough products powered by #generativeAI and applying them to all aspects of life sciences to accelerate drug discovery, empower anti-aging research and support sustainable development. On July 23, 2pm EDT in a Virtual Launch Event, Insilico is going to unveil three innovative in-house developed #AI products for researchers and introduce the updates of Pharma.AI, its proprietary generative AI driven platform for early drug research. In addition, Insilico will introduce the advanced sustainable initiative driven by AI. √ PandaOmics Box, an AI-powered converged research platform, for localized biological research in target identification, #biomarker discovery and indication prioritization. √ DORA, an advanced large language model-driven AI assistant, designed to streamline the process of drafting #academic papers and other related documents. √ Precious-3 GPT, a transformer-based #LLM engine across multi-modal, multi-omics, multi-species for biomedical research through omics data generation and interpretation. Together, we're exploring how AI can help #lifescience researchers accomplish all their tasks more easily and efficiently. During the webinar you'll be able to get FREE access to DORA, the LLM-based paper writing assistant. We look forward to seeing you "virtually" soon! How Insilico Medicine Deployed #GenerativeAI One inspiring example comes from Insilico Medicine, a biotech company and member of NVIDIA’s Inception program, which supplies cutting-edge AI training and support. Insilico used generative AI methods and NVIDIA technology to develop a drug to treat idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis – a relatively #raredisease that causes progressive decline in lung function. Using traditional methods, this process would have cost more than $400 million and taken up to six years. But thanks to generative AI, NVIDIA says Insilico accomplished the task for one-tenth of the cost and one-third of the time, proceeding to clinical trials in just two and a half years. What we’re talking about, then, is quicker cures for diseases. And for a fraction of the cost. While the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) to develop new medicines may be one of the most exciting breakthroughs of our AI-enabled world, it’s still a relatively unknown story. Docuthon, a documentary hackathon, is designed to share the story of how that transformation happened through the lens of Insilico, an early pioneer in the industry. Today, we're excited to share "Coding the Impossible Cure," a documentary produced by Insilico's internal team as part of the Docuthon competition, which captured the journey of Insilico’s first AI discovered and developed program from algorithms to Phase II. It aims to motivate people both within and outside our field to work towards a universal goal: boosting healthier and longer quality-lifetimes for humanity with the power of #generativeAI.  This documentary is based on a paper we published in February, detailing our achievements in using AI for drug discovery.  https://lnkd.in/gWd_UZ_6 We are also proud to announce that Insilico Medicine has nominated the winners of the Docuthon after receiving more than 90 submissions from 14 countries with a wide range of perspectives. We've reviewed them in parallel with an internal working group and external professional judging panel. We want to express our sincere gratitude to all the participants, partners, and judges Alvaro Alvarez Ricciardelli Oren Rosenfeld Laila Kazmi Taryn Southern Amelia Martyn Hemphill. Looking forward to sharing more winning videos in the following days. #Innovation #AI #DrugDiscovery #ClinicalTrials #Docuthon #InsilicoMedicine #GenerativeAI #AIDD #CodingTheImpossibleCure

Today, we are making a big reveal! 🎉🫡 Many of my friends know that 4 years ago, we decided to document the story of the first drug where discovery, design, and development were supported using real Generative AI connecting target discovery, chemistry, medicine, and even drug discovery strategy. This strategy goes way beyond scientific publications to help explain the process to the general public and to explain the process to the young scientists starting in this field. The idea was to document to leave a legacy in case we fail at some point in time and to inspire young scientists to go into the field of AI drug discovery. We made over 300 hours of high-quality footage available to many teams around the world, and some of them managed to cut this footage into short videos catering to people without domain expertise in drug discovery. We also involved a team of world-class documentary judges. Today, we are revealing the first 15-min video produced by our own team as the example and we will follow up with the releases of videos by other teams. Special thanks to our judges, wonderful partners, team, and advisors. Insilico Medicine launched PandaOmics about two years ago. Since then, the platform has been tried by thousands of users. And Insilico continues to find ways to expand PandaOmics’ capabilities. Some of its expansion plans emerge from interactions with academics, Zhavoronkov says. In fact, PandaOmics was inspired in part by the work of Open Targets, a consortium of academic and #pharmaceutical partners that developed an open AI-based platform for identifying and prioritizing #drugtargets. “If the community comes up with ideas and we see that one of its methods is interesting,” Zhavoronkov points out, “we add it to the platform with the requisite permission.” Continue Reading from Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology News: https://lnkd.in/eM9TDXCs

Congratulations! After receiving more than 90 submissions from 14 countries with a wide range of perspectives, and reviewing them in parallel by an internal working group and external professional judges, we are thrilled to nominate the winners of the Docuthon, a documentary hackathon initiated by the company aimed at raising awareness of AI in drug discovery through scientific storytelling. As a pioneering entity in the AIDD industry, Insilico Medicine has achieved numerous milestones, faced crises, welcomed new talents, and navigated both successful launches and project terminations. However, the general public remains largely unaware of the challenges and enormous costs involved in drug development, let alone the complexities of the AIDD revolution. Insilico’s journey over the past four years, defined by persistence and innovation, has been beautifully captured in these documentaries. They transform a complex, behind-the-scenes mission into engaging and relatable art. Docuthon Winner: Junyue Wang from Columbia University Insilico Presents: Coding the Impossible Cure Honorable Mention: Ekarthan Studio from India Special Award: Insilico Robotics Lab by The Afgan Dreamers You have done more than just tell our story—you have enriched it, adding new layers of perspective and emotion that resonate deeply with audiences from all walks of life. Thank you Oren Rosenfeld Amelia Martyn Hemphill Taryn Southern Alvaro Alvarez Ricciardelli Laila Kazmi for being our amazing judges! Stay tuned over the next two weeks as we release these incredible documentaries one by one.
