  • Artificial intelligence (AI) is a hot topic across many industries and business aviation is no exception. There seems to be quite a divide with some people extremely exited to be early adopters of the technology and others who are critics, still tentative to jump on the bandwagon. Surely, there are both pros and cons to the emerging technology and those benefits and drawbacks will continue to change as AI technology itself continues to develop. At this point, the integration of AI into the aviation world is mostly experimental and will probably continue to be that way for a while. We still need to nail down the true value and best applications of the technology. Whether you are a skeptic or a proponent of AI, it's here and doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon. Check out this article from NBAA on the topic:https://zurl.co/rtiW What are your thoughts about the adoption of AI technology into the aviation industry?

  • When it comes to workforce issues, a recent survey shows that the #1 thing keeping BizAv leaders up at night is employee retention. As the industry faces a talent shortage, it is more challenging than ever to find and retain top talent. Key themes from the survey show that prioritizing work-life balance, flexible schedules, competitive compensation, and positive work culture can help to attract and keep top talent around. What do you think about these findings? Is there anything you would change or add to this list? Make sure to read the full article from AIN here: https://zurl.co/amk1

  • On May 23rd Captain Teresa Claiborne landed the final flight of her career. After about 43 years in aviation she has retired from United Airlines. Claiborne was the first black woman to fly in the US Air Force! It's estimated that there are less than 150 black female pilots in the United States. Because of this, Claiborne says even long into her retirement she will continue to work with and mentor young people, particularly young black women, and make sure that they know they can do this. Although she admits ending her career will be "bittersweet," Claiborne isn't saying "goodbye" to the aviation world forever. Keep an eye out because she still has many things on her bucket list!
