As women with a passion for giving back, we believe we are strongest when we learn, grow, and give together.
About us
We are an Austin-based women’s collective giving organization, funding Central Texas nonprofits that provide services in Bastrop, Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties. Since 2003, we have invested $8.84 million in 98 nonprofit partners with 126 grants. Join our collective impact! Our membership and leadership proudly reflect the many faces, cultures and walks of life that make up our society. We believe diversity helps us to better understand and address the issues facing our community. Impact Austin combines annual donations from members and gives multiple grants each spring and fall to local, worthy causes selected by our members. Our membership requirements are simply to be female and to donate $1,250 each year. Beyond this, each member can be as engaged or uninvolved as she chooses. One thousand dollars of each member’s donation goes to our grant recipients. The remaining donation supports our events, member initiatives, education programs, and operations. Grant applications are accepted in the following focus areas: Community Education Health and Well-Being Equity While no time commitment is required, members may volunteer to serve on various Impact Austin committees and events. All-volunteer Grant Review Committees analyze grant applications and recommend finalists in each focus area. https://www.impactaustin.org

So much #impactaustin synergy here with 2017 Community Partner Interfaith Action of Central Texas
This July, I had a rewarding experience working with Austin students (grade 6-12) on financial literacy at the invitation of friend and former board member Simone Talma Flowers. In this Financial Literacy Program managed by Interfaith Action of Central Texas students learned in a workshop setting about budgeting, savings, debt and investments. The City of Austin provided a $1000 grant for each student to be invested in pool; participants will receive their share of the future investment proceeds in 10 years. After learning about goals, diversification, the time value of money, risk and the different asset classes, the students will provide input into the asset allocation of their pooled investment. What a wonderful program for teens in Austin. Their insights about the power of financial capital to fund families’ health, education and welfare were impressive. Thank you to program founder and manager Lori Mayfield for amazing leadership. #interfaithactionofcentralTX #Bairdgivesback #financialliteracy #ATX #PalombogroupBaird #iACTCentralTX
