Introducing another member of our summer intern team, JJ Johnson! He recently completed his junior year and is now enjoying his internship with our Homeownership team before entering his senior year and graduating in May 2025. JJ has gained hands-on experience with data analysis and visualization through working on several projects. In celebration of June being homeownership month, we recently had the pleasure of chatting with Kasey Gray-Fuquay, owner of Kasey Gray State Farm Insurance Agency in Evansville since 2019. "[Homeowners] insurance is crucial to protect your investment, meet lender requirements, and provide peace of mind. It safeguards your property, belongings, and finances from unexpected events, allowing you to enjoy your new home with confidence. Having the right insurance representative is crucial for their expertise, tailored recommendations, access to multiple providers, claims assistance, and ongoing support. They will work in your best interest, helping you navigate the complexities of insurance and ensuring you have the right coverage to protect your assets and mitigate risks. A local insurance representative offers knowledge of local regulations, understanding of local risks, accessibility, and availability. They can provide personalized service based on their familiarity with your area and can tap into local relationships and connections when needed. By choosing a local representative, you support the local economy and contribute to the overall well-being of your community."

Welcome Malena Fisk, our governmental affairs intern for the summer! "I am going into my senior year at Indiana University Bloomington, studying International Studies, Spanish, and History. I spent the last semester in Seville, Spain focusing on history at la Universidad de Sevilla. This summer, I am working on a variety of projects relating to housing legislation. I am creating a policy memo about the implementation of Housing First in Indiana. Additionally, I am tracking bills relating to housing that have been introduced in recent legislative sessions. After graduation, I plan to spend a few years in the workforce to gain hands-on experience. Afterwards I will go back to school, either to become a lawyer or a professor. Outside of work and school, I enjoy reading, knitting, walking my dog, and spending time with my siblings and friends."

Please welcome our Real Estate Allocation summer intern, Madi Miller! "I am from Indianapolis. I am currently attending the University of Southern California, where I will graduate in the spring of 2026 with bachelor's degrees in legal studies and public policy. Outside of my academic and professional pursuits, I enjoy working out, reading romance novels, watching movies or series (even if I've seen them a hundred times), and spending time with my family."
