Green Refining of Iridium Using Molecular Recognition Technology™ (MRT™) Abstract Iridium refining using MRT™ is based on green chemistry and green engineering principles. Very little energy is used, minimal waste is produced and simple reagents are utilized in a closed system. MRT™ will be contrasted and compared to traditional refining techniques for iridium, which consume large amounts of energy, generate substantial waste and use harsh chemicals with environmental and safety hazards.
