To the neurotypical eye, autistic behavior can be unsettling, and unsettling behavior can seem dangerous. Dr. Leite is a psychologist who specializes in threat assessment and management. She has had a disproportionate number of referrals that include individuals who navigate their social world differently than others, who have been diagnosed with autism, and whose behavior may make others uneasy or uncertain. Diving into the topic, she will cover general information on ASD and crime, carefully explain the difference between ASD and psychopathic behavior, and use research to identify factors that create greater and less risk in the population.

Join James Demer, MD in a training to explore the biopsychosocial considerations involved in assessing and treating clients presenting with ADHD. This presentation will address assessing and treating clients with ADHD and comorbidities such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, developmental delays and disruptive behaviors. A review of the origins of the diagnosis, models of conceptualizing the condition and treatment approaches will be considered. Through case presentations the presenter will review various ways in which clients present with ADHD, to include common comorbidities.
