The September issue of House & Garden is finally here! Focusing on heritage and tradition with Spring in the air, we thoroughly enjoyed putting this together for you. South Africa is a melting pot for many different cultures and we were so grateful to bring them all together, from esteemed interior designer @donaldnxumalo to the Turilli family with their new Cafe @lellosdeli We also dived deep into the weaving process with @capelooms and we shared a multitude of food books you have to try! Honestly this issue has so many amazing stories and features, you really need to get yourselves a copy. Lastly, this beautiful cover was shot in Johannesburg by the talented @vignette.sa and we couldn't be happier ❤️ Here's to the new issue 🥂 #editor #magazine #heritagemonth #SouthAfrica

House & Garden SA reposted this
Thank you, House & Garden SA! "Launched as an experimental platform and residency that provides Cape Town-based artists with an opportunity to create new work, conduct research and develop ideas for future projects, the Atelier is a multi-gallery area situated on the museum’s second floor. The space is also open to the public, allowing visitors to Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa to have unique access and insight into the artists’ modes of production and processes." "In line with the Atelier Residency programme’s vision as an exploratory space, Unathi Mkonto plans to create ‘movable platforms’ that further position his residency as a collaborative journey where artists and visitors alike can ponder and reimagine the performative nature and interplay of the built environment where the bustling commercial district and residential fabric of the city meet." House & Garden South Africa covered BURDIFILEK`s Forest Hill residence. This residence was carefully conceptualized with the owner`s needs and style in mind. Starting with a neutral colour palette, and amplifying minimalism through intentionally excluding any unnecessary elements. The result is “… luxurious, quiet, and formally comfortable.” Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/gndPayAb Thank you, Edwain Steenkamp for your words Images: Doublespace
