Last week, we gathered for our annual Field Superintendent meeting—a fantastic opportunity to delve into leadership, management training, and job safety. It was incredible to witness our field superintendents coming together to exchange ideas and foster camaraderie. During this gathering, we proudly recognized the recipients of our Surpassing Expectation Awards. These exceptional individuals were nominated by their supervisors and peers for their outstanding job performance and unwavering commitment to our core values of honesty, respect, integrity, and compassion. At Horizon, we believe in honoring those who consistently go above and beyond, embodying the spirit of excellence in everything they do. Congratulations to all the winners!

Last week, we celebrated The Belvedere in Naperville, Illinois with a cookout, extending our gratitude to the incredible team that built this stunning apartment community! Shout-out to Alta Equipment Illinois for their generous support in supplying the grills and tents. Also, a special mention to DLN Electrical for lending their expertise in the kitchen, ensuring delicious food for all.

Last week, we enjoyed attending the groundbreaking ceremony for Idylwood Residences. With 219 units, these stunning apartments will be a beautiful addition to the Janesville community. Huge thanks to Angus-Young for organizing such a fantastic event!

As Construction Safety Week comes to a close, we want to shine a spotlight on our Near Miss & Good Catch Program! At Horizon, safety is our top priority, which is why we've implemented this innovative program to enhance awareness of hazards on our construction sites. Through our program, on-site crews across our job sites can scan a QR code to submit near-miss incidents or good catch corrections they encounter. This proactive approach empowers our teams to contribute to a safer work environment. Every quarter, our Horizon Safety Committee evaluates submissions and rewards top contributors with exciting prizes like Milwaukee Tools or Yeti Coolers. But it doesn't stop there! Submitted incidents and corrections also serve as valuable Learning Lessons, shared across all job sites to prevent similar hazards in the future. These walkthrough visits provide invaluable insights, helping us continuously enhance our safety performance.
