Employee Spotlight 🌟 Meet Lauren Estep! Lauren is the Executive Vice President of the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame. She has been with us for over 17 years. Watching this organization grow into an institution that honors our industry's leaders, preserves our history, inspires the next generation of leaders and now has a home to teach the world about the home furnishings industry has been the most rewarding part of her job. Lauren is based in Texas where she lives with her husband, two kids and their collie Julep. If she could choose to have a superpower, she'd pick flying as it would make her commute to High Point even more seamless. There isn't a day that goes by that Lauren's commitment to the Hall of Fame goes unnoticed. We are so thankful to have her on our team.

Employee Spotlight🌟 Meet Eli Hargett, our A/V Tech Manager at the Hall of Fame. If you've been to the Hall or booked an event with us, you've probably seen Eli making sure the audio, visuals and all things technology related run smoothly. Thank you Eli, for all you do. We're grateful to have you on our team! When he's not making our tech run flawlessly, you can find him playing his saxophone, while his partner accompanies him on the piano. On weekends, you might find Eli diving into a new car project, always eager to learn and build something new. #EmployeeSpotlight #AVTech #BehindTheScenes #HallofFame

It was such a pleasure to have High Point x Design at the Hall for it's annual meeting last month. It's great to see an organization strive to establish High Point as a year-round destination for design tourism. At the meeting, HPxD dedicated a brick on the Pathways of Honor to its founding members, Tom Verellen of Verellen Inc. John Muldoon of Cohab.Space and Tom Van Dessel of SPLASHWORKS. Thank you all for your contributions to our industry! Pictured: HPxD President - Carol Gregg Cohab.Space owner - John Muldoon SPLASHWORKS owner - Tom Van Dessel

It's been a little over a month since we lit our Eternal Flame at the dedication ceremony. Thank you again to the Wanek Family and Ashley Furniture Industries for your contributions to our industry. We are proud to be the home of the first eternal flame in High Point. Hand-forged of steel and coated with a bronze finish, the sculpture stands 10'2" high by 5'2" wide and is positioned on a pyramid-shaped stone base. The design consists of 20 metal "flames," ranging in height from 1 to 6 feet tall, gracefully forming the commanding shape, which encases the eternal, gas-burning flame.
