Moving into a new dorm or apartment is an exciting time filled with new friends, new fits and new decor. But making a space your own can be expensive, so we joined Urban Outfitters and Pinterest to help bring the Pinterest boards of five students to life through the Back to College contest. The contest will provide winners $5,000 to decorate their dorms and apartments and make it their own. Learn more about the contest: https://lnkd.in/eYMe5rVU

Alyah Chanelle Scott may play a student-athlete struggling to find her place at school on HBO Max’s The Sex Lives of College Girls, but in real life, she has already found so much success in her career — as well as confidence in herself. Before Scott took to the stage for her Her Conference keynote session, Her Campus’s Starr Washington sat down with her for an exclusive interview to chat about her own experience as a college student and her journey to where she is today. https://lnkd.in/eXiDdDce

Her Campus Media reposted this
This weekend we celebrated 15 Years of Her Campus with an invite-only reunion for 100 Her Campus Media alums! It was a beautiful celebration of ambition, community and connection. Thank you Giselle Huasipoma for this beautiful recap! #HCXO #15YearsofHC #HerConference
✨ Dropping some gems on your timeline as I just attended 15 Years of Her Campus: The Her Campus Reunion! Here are some of my favorite moments + takeaways: Windsor Hanger Western, Co-Founder @ Her Campus Media: HCM is comprised of over 100,000 alum… that is so unreal! Laurise McMillian, Social Creative Lead for Facebook @ Meta: wear your confidence proudly, literally and figuratively! This is a rare piece of advice that I’ve gotten once in the past, and I’m so happy that it was brought up again, such a great refresher. Barbara Alyssa Gonzalez, Editorial Lead for North America @ Pinterest: reflect inward and put yourself in the shoes of the consumer. Utilize yourself as an example throughout your work, especially as a person of color. Suzzette M. Martínez-Malavet, VP, Earned Media, Culture and Lifestyle, U.S. & Global @ Edelman: sometimes you need to stand your ground to create generational change. Maybe you’ll ruffle some feathers along the way, but it’ll build trust and confidence within yourself. Deepa Lakshmin, Director of Social Media @ Lonely Planet: take time to look at your work and stay true to creating what you would want to see in the space! Rachel Peck, Founder @ Metronome: Rachel asked for two “peaks” in life. Of course, I had to raise my hand. My two were modeling in Her Campus: College Fashion Week and being featured in publications such as Ad Age, Vogue Business, The Guardian (shout out to Kelsey Rohwer)! But, I didn’t know what my “throughline” was. And then some lovely ladies in the audience helped out, as HCM girlies do 🤪 Storytelling - that’s my throughline. 👩🏽💻 Huge thank you to the entire team at Her Campus Media for the invitation. 🫶🏽 #15YearsofHC
