Here are the components we've found that are must-haves: Know the laws and policies 📖 The first step to a successful program is to know the legal requirements of your org. Depending on your location, industry, and size, you may have to comply with various federal, state, and local laws that regulate employee leaves. You should also be familiar with your own internal policies and procedures. Having a clear and consistent knowledge of the laws and policies can help you avoid compliance issues, disputes, and penalties. Have clear communication 📞 Communication is essential to ensure that everyone understands their rights and responsibilities, the processes and expectations, and the available resources and support. You should communicate with your employees before, during, and after their leaves, being available for any and all support. You should also communicate with your managers, training them on how to handle leave requests, monitor leave usage, and manage workloads and performance.     This week we're celebrating one of the greats, Brook Smoak. Brook is a busy bee, always buzzing around with her three kiddos, helping others at work, and supporting our customers. She is the definition of a people person! 🐝 She loves to spend time outdoors with her family doing things like hiking, biking, fishing, and camping. If she isn't doing that, you can find her at a one of her kid's sporting events, tending to her garden, or baking homemade goods. 🏕️🪴 Brook brings such positive, collaborative, and goal-crushing energy to our team.
