As a corporate member of Women in Mining USA (WIM), Hecla supports WIM’s efforts to improve industry-wide gender diversity. We’re pleased to collaborate with the association to positively impact the future of talent in mining by posting jobs that target members of the WIM network. WIM also provides networking opportunities and other ways to support women employees as potential future leaders within Hecla. Our employees participate in local WIM chapters and regularly volunteer in the community. Hecla's chief environmental engineer at Greens Creek serves as vice president of the recently founded Alaska chapter of WIM and our HR Manager at Lucky Friday is on the education committee for the Idaho WIM chapter Thank you to all our women employees! #womeninmining #idwim2024 #mining

To create more opportunities for women at Hecla and within the mining industry, we have in place a goal to increase the proportion of women in professional roles by 5% each year. We achieved this goal in 2023. Overall, women made up 10% of our total workforce and 22% at the professional/managerial level, and we have two women members of our Board of Directors, including our Board Chair who is also serving as our interim President & CEO. Featured are women employees who make important contributions across Hecla. #womeninmining #idwim2024 #mining
