Happy 12th work anniversary to Della Adams! Della is an essential part of our Centralized Maintenance team at the Ft. Mitchell branch. She chose a vibrant 'Colors in a Crayon Box' theme for her celebration, and they had a blast coordinating their potluck dishes with their colorful shirts! Della went above and beyond, bringing festive décor and fun games to make the day extra special. We're so grateful to have you on #TeamHeartland, Della!

Meet Adecia Stover! Adecia has learned a lot in the nearly five years since she began her career at Heartland. “It is all about the valuable service you provide and the way you make an individual feel. I make it a point to come in every day with a big smile on my face, a positive attitude and a high expectation to do my job effectively. I like knowing that if one of my clients arrives and is having a bad day, I will at least do what I can to change that while they are in my presence so that they leave our branch feeling a little less down,” says Adecia. Adecia is married to her college sweetheart and mother of two sweet kids and one dog. We are proud to have you on #TeamHeartland! 🧡💙 Learn more about Adecia on our website: https://lnkd.in/gYd_TBmc

This week we are shining the spotlight on Matt Hoffman! We asked Matt about the importance of volunteering and getting involved. Q: Where do you work? A: I work with Heartland Bank in Upper Arlington and serve as a Branch Manager focused mainly on business development in the Tri- Village area. Heartland Bank is a community bank in the greater Columbus area who prides itself on working closely with small businesses and consumers alike to help with any and all banking solutions.  We are very involved with our respective communities and have a mission to give back. Every dollar we lend out or take in gets reinvested back into our communities to help achieve our overall goal of serving our communities to the best of our ability.    Q: What inspired you to join OCS? A: I was inspired to join OCS in a couple different ways. First, was to be connected with a group of people who put others in front of themselves and are trying to help a greater cause. Second, it was a great opportunity to use my platform to help others in need. Finally and most importantly, I have an 11 year old nephew Alex who has special needs and I wanted to feel like I was doing something more to help on his behalf. Alex lives a few hours away from me so I do not get the chance to visit or see him all that often so joining OCS is one way I am to give back and hopefully help people in a similar situation as him flourish in ways they wouldn’t have thought possible.     Q: Why do you think it's important to connect to community through volunteering? A: I feel a very strong sense of pride when I get to volunteer through OCS and other organizations across the city. Being able to make a difference in others lives is something that has always been important to me no matter how big or small the gesture. The different people and groups I have been able to connect with and help over the years has truly made me a better and more well-rounded person.    Q: Is there anything else about you that you'd like to share? A: I have lived in the Upper Arlington community for the past 12 years with my wife Amy, daughter Charlotte (10), and son William (7). We stay very busy with sports as our kids are involved in soccer, basketball, baseball, football, wrestling and golf. We enjoy beach vacations, attending Cleveland Browns and Columbus Crew games, and hanging around the house barbequing and spending any spare time we have together. Starting and growing my family has been my life’s greatest achievement and biggest reward. I cannot wait to see where it takes me.
