This week we had the pleasure of hosting Italian visiting nursing students from Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS for a design sprint in the Health Design Lab at Thomas Jefferson University where they got to learn and experience human centered design methods. They even got to take home a copy of our book, Health Design Thinking! 🇮🇹🇺🇸
Congrats to our teams who completed the Summer intensive phase today and presented their med design solutions for internal feedback! Yesterday I was thrilled to graduate from Sidney Kimmel Medical College - This journey has been challenging yet incredibly rewarding, and I couldn't have done it without the unwavering support of my family, friends, and mentors. I am also excited to announce that I will be starting my anesthesiology residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital this June. Passionate about fostering change-makers, Rob teaches health design to learners at all levels, leads creative teams, and coaches healthcare executives around the world. A Doctor of Pharmacy, Rob spent over a decade practicing and teaching Emergency Medicine, leveraging these skills during the pandemic to lead community-based COVID-19 testing and vaccination efforts in Philadelphia. Rob believes that including patient and caregiver voices is vital to healthcare improvement and as a person with insulin-dependent diabetes, brings both perspectives to his work. Rob has presented at national venues such as SXSW and Stanford MedX and in 2019 was selected as a Philadelphia Business Journal 40 Under 40.
