The HEAL Palestine team in northern Gaza held a medical event to address the urgent needs of displaced individuals in the western Gaza areas. They assisted 370 families and 1,500 individuals, providing healthcare services to children, women, pregnant women, and the elderly. The team distributed medications, children's supplements, and nutritional supplements, utilizing their existing medicine supply and purchasing additional necessary items for the event, which lasted six hours. The HEAL Palestine-Kuwaiti field hospital in Al Mawasi Khan Younis is now fully operational! It features: - Emergency Departments - Clinics - Dental Clinics - Operating Theater - Department of Obstetrics - Diagnostic Imaging - Laboratory Services - Inpatient Beds - Ambulances - Medical Team Tents Beginning in July, volunteer medical teams will be deployed to Gaza to support the hospital’s operations and provide additional medical care. Layan, 14-years-old, who lost both of her legs in a Gaza bombing, is now walking again in Chicago. She has received new prosthetic legs and is undergoing rehabilitation. HEAL is beyond thrilled to see Layan thrive.

This week, 16-year-old Marah underwent scoliosis surgery at Shifa Hospital in Cairo, performed by Dr. Hani Abduljawad. Marah had traveled from Beit Lahya in Gaza, in desperate need of a surgery her family could not afford.
