Providing 24 hour emergency services, it is also a state certified Advanced Life Support Base Hospital, authorizing medical direction and support of pre-hospital care providers, fire department paramedic and ambulance personnel. Havasu Regional Medical Center proudly recognizes Rhonda Tanner, Clerical Coordinator in the Case Management Department, as our Employee of the Month! One of Rhonda's team members said, "Rhonda has the compassion of a true champion. She will help patients in the lobby, on the phone, and anywhere she sees someone in need." Another one of her team members said, "Rhonda is one of the happiest and most giving people I have had the pleasure to work with. I have seen her go to the cafeteria to buy breakfast for a patient experiencing homelessness so he could eat while waiting for a ride." Thank you, Rhonda, for your kindness and compassion for patients in our community and for being a tremendous asset to the team at HRMC!

Havasu Regional Medical Center proudly recognizes Erica Snyder, Emergency Department Tech, as our Employee of the Month! One of Erica's team members said, "Erica was sitting at the desk and noticed a patient's heart rhythm had changed on the monitor. She quickly escalated to the primary RN and doctor. An EKG was obtained and showed that the patient was having a heart attack! The patient's original EKG was normal. The patient was taken to the Cath Lab and lived! Erica always handles challenges quickly and with a smile on her face. She sets the ultimate example of championing patient care." Thank you, Erica, for your dedication and for being a fantastic asset to patients, your ER team, and HRMC!

Shout out to our excellent dietary department at VVMC and HRMC for competing in the 34th annual Chefs Food Fest held at the Aquarius in Laughlin, NV, marking the first time a hospital dietary team has ever competed in the event! Trula Hepner, Director of Dietary at HRMC, Adrian Santacruz, Director of Dietary at VVMC, and Aracely Chacon, Dietary Supervisor at HRMC, served up Wagyu Beef Sliders, House Fried Potato Chips, and Banana Pudding at the Texas-themed event. The secret ingredient Dr. Pepper, was added to a house made Dr. Pepper Roasted Garlic Ketchup, Dr. Pepper Mango Habanero Sauce, and a Dr. Pepper Chocolate Sauce for the Banana Pudding. The VVMC and HRMC team served guests in the "chow line" in our Tyler City Jail booth. Thank you to our Dietary Team for their creativity and fantastic food, and a special thank you to Aracely Chacon for competing on her birthday! Happy birthday, Aracely!
