About us
OUR VISION A world where everyone has a decent place to live. OUR MISSION Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. WHERE WE WORK Habitat for Humanity of Evansville was founded in 1984 and serves families in Vanderburgh and Posey Counties in Indiana and funds the building of homes in Jordan and Haiti through a tithe program. About Habitat for Humanity of Evansville Habitat for Humanity of Evansville is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities and hope. Habitat for Humanity of Evansville is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all.

At Habitat, we want our homeowners to have a future of success long after they move into their new homes . We are thankful for all of the volunteer course instructors, advocates and budget partners who work with all our future homeowners to ensure they are prepared for the challenges that homeownership can bring. If you are interested in serving families in one of these roles, visit: https://ow.ly/h8sh50SuHOR.

Thank you to CenterPoint Energy and CLEAResult for joining our Community Builders Crew! On Friday, volunteers from both organizations put up siding on a home in Tepe Park and spent some time at the Habitat office learning more about the Habitat program and the families we serve. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who came out to help!
