📣 Ribbon Cutting for Greene County EMS Station 3 in Maury 🚑 We are excited to announce the official opening of Greene County EMS Station 3 in Maury! This new EMS station will significantly enhance emergency response times for the areas of Maury, Scuffleton, Hookerton, and Lizzie, ensuring quicker and more efficient service for our community. The construction of this vital facility was made possible with over 90 percent of the funds provided by the NC General Assembly. We extend our gratitude to Rep. Chris Humphrey for speaking at today's ceremony. We also want to thank all current and former volunteer fire and EMS personnel in Greene County. Their hard work and sacrifices helped grow our county and laid the foundation for this new facility. Additionally, speaking at today's Ribbon Cutting was Bennie Heath, Chair of the Board of Commissioners, Kyle DeHaven, County Manager, Trey Cash from Economic Development, and Brock Kearney from GC Emergency Services. Together, we are building a safer and stronger Greene County! 🌟

This innovative brewery recently acquired the former Billy Beer building, a facility covering approximately 10,000 square feet and 4 acres of land within the park. Corporate Ladder Brewing Company, located in Florida, is renowned for its selection of craft beers, which include fruited sours, adjunct stouts, barrel-aged sours & stouts, hazy IPAs, and lagers. Greene County Secures $165,000 Funding to Identify Industrial Land Today, Representative Humphrey visited the Greene County offices to present a $150,000 check from the North Carolina General Assembly. The funding, comprising a $150,000 appropriation from the North Carolina General Assembly and a $15,000 grant awarded by the Golden LEAF Foundation through their SITE program, was announced by Golden LEAF on December 7. The funding will be used for a third-party firm contracted by Golden LEAF to help identify potential industrial sites in Greene County. The allocated funds will be strategically utilized to identify possible locations for new industrial development and due diligence on these possible locations. "We extend our sincere gratitude to Representative Humphrey, Senator Newton, the North Carolina General Assembly, and the Golden LEAF Foundation for their support. With their backing, we've secured funding to initiate the first phase of our plan to ensure sustainable future growth, focusing on creating well-paying jobs in Greene County." - Trey Cash, Greene County Economic Development Director.
