Our partner Accor has reached 1000 eco-certified hotels 🌿 Since the announcement of our collaboration agreement in 2023, we have had the pleasure of seeing numerous Accor properties all over the world becoming certified with us. As Green Key is one of the two preferred certification programmes for Accor's properties globally (excluding the USA and Canada, where Green Key is not offered), we are proud to have contributed to this big milestone. With Accor's ambitious target of eco-certifying all its properties by 2026, we look forward to continuing our collaboration and supporting our partner in reaching this goal.

'The Hyatt Regency Trinidad is pleased to have a local operator in Trinidad and Tobago that facilitated and worked together with us to bring the certification to reality’ - after almost a year of preparation and fulfilment of stringent criteria, the first hotel in Trinidad has passed the verification process and is now certified with Green Key. The theme for the World Environment Day 2024 is land restoration. On this occassion, we are excited to share the news about an acacia planting initiative from our freshly certified establishment in Romania. To pursue its commitment to protecting the environment and building a more sustainable future for all, ibis Bucharest Politehnica carries out a bi-annual acacia planting activity. Not only the event raises awareness of the hotel teams, but also allows them to engage and make a tangible contribution to the environmental protection. This event took place in Lipanesti commune with support and involvement of other organisations such as the youth association - Asociatia Se Poate that kindly donated the honey from Lipanesti to the hotel's restaurant. ‘We would like to thank everyone involved: dedicated volunteers, logistics teams, local authorities and companies that showed full sustain and hard work with the acacia trees.
