As we head into August, GBU reflects on significant policy achievements and ongoing advocacy efforts. Over the past six months, our community's dedication led to the adoption of the 2021 International Energy Conservation Code for commercial buildings in Pennsylvania and secured substantial funding for energy efficiency and green building initiatives in the state budget. However, challenges remain, such as the non-adoption of the residential energy code and the lack of funding for the Whole Home Repair program.
