This week, our Director of Industrial Park Development and Special Projects, Eleazar Rodriguez, and our Director of Business Retention and Expansion, Jovanna Rangel, attended the LNG Export Conference in Houston. This prestigious conference and exhibition bring together key stakeholders from the LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) industry. Our team participated to gain valuable insights into future outlooks, emerging technologies, and investment strategies that drive innovation and success in the LNG sector. Additionally, the conference provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen our relationships with our partners in the RGLNG project, NextDecade and Bechtel Corporation

Congratulations to our Finance Manager, Salvador Villalpando, CPA , for obtaining his CPA certification! Salvador’s commitment to expanding his knowledge and career was driven by his family. His journey began in January 2023, and in just ten months, Salvador successfully passed the four exam sections. After completing the sections in November 2023, Salvador recently received his CPA certification. This certification challenged him, and we couldn’t be prouder of the outcome and Salvador’s efforts. Sal, thank you for being part of our team, for your hard work, and for your tremendous dedication. We are lucky to have you. Congratulations!

We appreciate our Deputy Executive Director, Jerry Briones, for his efforts in promoting and fostering investment in our city at the SelectUSA 2024 Summit in Maryland. During the summit, Jerry had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Elvis-Nicolae Arteni , CEO of NeoChain Labs in Romania, to explore avenues for enhancing economic development and future partnerships. This meeting marks the start of promising opportunities for our city’s growth and economic advancement. The SelectUSA 2024 Investment Summit serves as a platform for forging connections among foreign investors, companies, and economic development organizations. These collaborations drive innovation and cultivate partnerships that set new opportunities.

We are happy to see our youth learning entrepreneurial skills through Lemonade Day. Thank you to the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce for bringing this initiative to our city and allowing us to be part of it.
