Continuing our STRIVE 2024 internship spotlight to answer some questions about their time at Events DC, we have Sanai Anderson of the Community Engagement department! Why did you choose STRIVE? ⭐ I chose to join the STRIVE internship because it allowed me the opportunity to grow professionally and sharpen my skills in networking, communication, and teamwork. While, exposing me to experiences that will help me enhance in my professional career. Favorite part of this internship? ⭐ My favorite part of this internship so far was having the chance to shadow my mentor. When I was able to shadow my mentor, I got the chance to assist him with room checks and equipment checks for an upcoming event. I am grateful for this experience because it allowed me to have firsthand experience on one of the many phases of event planning/management. What are you looking forward to regarding STRIVE? ⭐ I am looking forward to seeing one of the projects that I am currently assisting with come to life later in the fall.
