Connectivity is a critical element for economic growth and community vibrancy in the #IndyRegion—and the Indianapolis Cultural Trail Inc has become an essential tool for ensuring that all residents can participate in the economic opportunities available in the city. As its executive director, Kären Haley works to ensure the 8-mile urban bike and pedestrian path continues to exist as a world-class public space. On July 10, she'll join us at Liter House to discuss the Trail’s role in regional growth. So, grab a pint, secure your ticket, and join us at next week's #LagersLeaders, presented by Everwise Credit Union. 🍻 Learn more and register: https://ow.ly/vOok50SuaHz

The time has come! #Indianapolis has transformed into a poolside paradise, ready for the fastest swimmers in the country to compete for their Olympic dreams. Thanks to our partnership with Indiana Sports Corp and Lucas Oil Stadium, #IndyChamber members were given an exclusive sneak peek of the competition pool at last month’s #LagersLeaders, presented by Everwise Credit Union. USA Swimming’s Shana Ferguson, Indiana Sports Corp’s Patrick Talty, and OneAmerica Financial’s Karin Sarratt sat down with our own Blake Roebuck to talk about the decision to move the trials to #Indy, the mechanics of getting a pool in an NFL stadium, and the expected economic impact of this historic event on the #IndyRegion. “[USA Swimming] needed to come to a city that would rally the community around us, and no one does that like #Indianapolis. There was no other community we could choose for this.” — Shana Ferguson, USA Swimming on the decision to move the Trials from Omaha to Indianapolis. 🏅 Don't miss out on an action-packed nine days: https://ow.ly/fUQA50Sjnoa #SwimTrials24

At last week’s #MeetTheMayors event, presented by AARP, ten #CentralIndiana mayors emphasized the importance of regional collaboration for economic growth and workforce retention. Key discussions focused on building a unified regional brand, enhancing competitiveness, and leveraging sports as an economic driver. Improving quality of place through downtown revitalization, parks, and trails was a priority, with mayors committing to projects like extending the Monon Trail. Enhanced transportation connectivity, including IndyGo's Purple Line and upgrades to the I-74 corridor, was discussed as vital for regional growth, all areas the Indy Chamber emphasizes in their regional economic development work. Thank you to our regional mayors for a robust discussion about what it will take for the #IndyRegion to emerge as the fastest-growing market in the Midwest and beyond. 📍 Read the full recap via the Indianapolis Business Journal: https://ow.ly/IoWF50SitbG 📸 Antonio Chapital, Chapital Photography

Our #SpotlightOn series was created to showcase the vibrant communities within the nine-county region, share key initiatives, and connect priority projects across community lines—and this morning's installation in the City of Shelbyville Indiana was no exception. Mayor Scott Furgeson joined Indy Partnership's Marlon Webb for a conversation about his inspiration for returning to office, how Shelbyville benefits from its proximity to #Indianapolis, and the mayor's plans to promote economic prosperity in #ShelbyvilleIN and the region as a whole. Thank you to our presenting sponsor, Duke Energy Corporation, and to our partners at Shelby County Chamber of Commerce (Indiana) and Shelby County Development Corporation for making the event a success.

We couldn't agree more! Lauren is a highly valued member of #TeamIndyChamber, and her dedication and hard work inspire us every day. Congratulations, Lauren Kenny! 👏
I had the honor of speaking at the latest graduation of the Orr Fellowship and couldn’t have been more proud to do so. Not only because this program led our team to the incomparable (and Community Award winning) Lauren Kenny, but also because Life In Indy would not exist in its current form without it. If any employer is on the fence about adding an Orr Fellow to your team, do not hesitate. This is a passionate group of talent that belongs here in the Indy region.
