Was reading the "restricted category" articles this morning and it hit home a few points when I was doing so: 1) GPMS is a great place to work! Having a remote role has had a tremendously positive benefit to my family and my life. 2) This is a pretty nice view to work with this week! 3) It doesn't matter how old or young you are.... there's nothing better than hearing the sound of aircraft flying over your head! (Turn sound on and re-listen to the video) 4) These UH-60's and the folks flying are serving their country proudly. Being here in Fort Walton Beach and they were a bit too far away to see features, it could have been from any of the services.... but can't wait to see some of these replaced/coordinating with Bell Flight V-280s in less than a decade. 5) These aircraft can carry soldiers. Why are we restricting them from carrying fire fighters to continue to save homes and lives?

Great reads by Elan Head in Vertical Magazine and Mark Ogden/Ned Dawson in HeliOps Magazine about the challenges to allow firefighters to fly in "restricted category" aircraft in the US 🇺🇸 , Australia 🇦🇺 , and ultimately around the world. If these aircraft are maintained and operated properly to fly soldiers into fire fights and war zones, then we feel they should be able to fly civilians into fighting fires and fire zones. 🫡🪖 🚁 🔥 🤝 🏡 👨🚒 🚒 🔥 To support these aircraft to the original maintenance requirements, we're proud at GPMS to bring next-gen Foresight MX #HUMS capability into these aircraft, after most of them had their original (obsolete) systems removed. Until this is resolved and (even after that!), we're proud to support Precision's #AS332 helicopters with Foresight MX #HUMS to deliver crucial capabilities to the USDA Forest Service and fire fighters around the 🇺🇸 .
