In addition to valuable workplace experience, Goldbelt Interns are exposed to Alaska Native culture including field trips, workshops, and opportunities to connect with elders, board members, and peers interning at other Alaska Native organizations. This group of Goldbelt Interns welcomed the canoes to Juneau for the start of Celebration 2024.

Kaida Irvin and Erin Abbott, 2024 summer interns are working with See Stories to learn valuable multi-media skills, while also learning about mariculture. The interns are gathering video footage of the Sea Quester crew explaining their kelp farming operation in Lynn Canal. The Internship program is just one example of how Goldbelt works to benefit the lives of shareholders.
