Are you a nonprofit or foundation looking to share your stories of success about #conservation, #communityaction, #stewardship, or #sustainability in a powerful, inspiring, and impactful way? Partner with GLP Films and let us help you! 🎥 Video storytelling is a powerful tool that helps bring a story to life. The #storytelling format is innately understood by a viewer or listener. It is #accessible. And ultimately, incredibly shareable which makes it a valuable asset for any strategic communications plan. Through a combination of stunning visuals, character-driven voices, and underlying themes, visual storytelling can be used to create a compelling story behind a complex, data-driven report in an easy-to-understand, powerful way that will educate, inspire, and promote action. A project’s impact comes to life following the model of “show me, don’t tell me.” Our film for the Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies (MACP) - 'Community-led Conservation in the Maya Biosphere Reserve' - is a powerful example of using visual storytelling to convey complex research-backed reports through our new “Video Impact Report” product. 🇧🇷 In partnership with the Fundação de Turismo de Mato Grosso do Sul, we are proud to release a new film, premiered at the Adventure Travel Trade Association's #AdventureElevate conference in Asheville, North Carolina. 🐆 The #Pantanal is the world’s largest tropical wetland habitat, distinguished by its culture, nature, and cuisine. It is sculpted by the ebb and flow of the rainy and dry seasons, and the people who inhabit this unique ecosystem are also shaped by these seasonal changes. The #Pantaneiro cowboys are the torchbearers of tradition, protecting their way of life and striving to find a balance between sustainability and the economic activity supporting farms and local communities. For travelers seeking a slow, immersive experience, the locally-owned homestays offer a unique opportunity to encounter the culture and heritage of the authentic Pantaneiro life. 🦜 In the new film, “Into the Pantanal”, see for yourself why the Pantanal is one of the most magical places on earth and how the local community is preserving this place for generations to come. 🧐 Ever wonder how we craft a tourism marketing story? Let us take you behind the scenes of how we start big and funnel down into our beautiful stories. 📈 Tourism marketing campaigns often have big goals—increase tourism, be more sustainable, and create better experiences. But how can marketing efforts help meet those demands? Here’s a glimpse into our strategic storytelling process from our ongoing Finger Lakes Outdoor Experience Campaign—a two-year partnership with the Finger Lakes Regional Tourism Council (FLRTC) that supports and promotes sustainable outdoor recreation in the region. Amazing work Marissa Volkman on sharing this story! 👉🏼 https://lnkd.in/gMJAvBU3 FINGER LAKES REGIONAL TOURISM COUNCIL INC #bts #storytelling #sustainabletravel #sustainabilitywriting #fingerlakesny #visitfingerlakes #travelny #tourismmarketing #videostorytelling

We are thrilled to announce that our film featuring Chef Pierre Thiam, a Senegal-raised, US-based top chef, entrepreneur, culinary ambassador, and food and nutrition activist, was featured in the World Bank’s 'Talking Development' interview with Anna Bjerde, Managing Director of The World Bank. Born in Senegal, Pierre Thiam never imagined he would become the world-acclaimed “Chef Pierre Thiam.” From how it all began in New York City to how fonio – an ancient grain from West Africa – can help address food insecurity, he shares his passion for food, sustainability, and supporting small farmers. We filmed Pierre four years ago during the COVID-19 pandemic for our 'Tourism Strong' campaign where we highlighted some of the heroes of New York City, such as Pierre, who transitioned his restaurant into feeding first responders during the pandemic. We have continued to promote his inspiring work ever since. This recent collaboration with the World Bank showcases the benefits of our work in connecting with amazing people doing great work and changing the world. We get to tell the story in our films and develop strategic partnerships that allow us to share these stories of change-makers like Pierre, in global outlets such as the World Bank and more. It supports our GLP Vision: "A sustainable future led by the positive impacts of change-makers." Thank you to The World Bank for this inspiring interview and for sharing our film. #foodsecurity #nutrition #sustainableagriculture #entrepreneurship #partnerships #sustainability #foodfilm https://lnkd.in/gEWxSrCN

#Tourismmarketing campaigns often have big goals—increase tourism, be more #sustainable, create better experiences. But how can marketing efforts help meet those demands? At GLP, we approach tourism marketing from a strategic #storytelling perspective. To us, that means finding and communicating stories that inspire the “right” action (i.e., the action getting the organization closer to their goal). In this newsletter we’re sharing our storytelling process from our ongoing Finger Lakes Outdoor Experience Campaign—a two-year partnership with the Finger Lakes Regional Tourism Council (FLRTC) that supports and promotes sustainable outdoor recreation in the region. #travelindustry #bts #behindthescenes #fingerlakesny #sustainabletravel #travelmarketing Featuring: Marissa Volkman, Adventure Travel Trade Association, Community Homestay Network, Homegrown National Park, Håvard Utheim

🚨 As we all know, we are facing a planetary emergency characterized by biodiversity loss, climate change, and land degradation. The world has lost over 70 percent of its #biodiversity in the last 50 years, and temperatures continue to rise at dangerous levels. With all the frightening messaging about climate change urging humans to take action before it is too late, it is easy to become overwhelmed or disheartened. At GLP, we believe in the power of visual #storytelling to educate, inspire, and offer examples of hope and positivity, and show the resilience of amazing communities working hard as agents of change for a #naturepositive future. 🌿 What are Nature-Based Climate Solutions? Nature-based #climatesolutions is a term used to describe a range of strategies that utilize natural ecosystems and processes to mitigate #climatechange and adapt to its impacts. These solutions leverage the ability of forests, wetlands, grasslands, mangroves, and other natural landscapes to absorb carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere and store it, helping to reduce greenhouse gas concentrations. The good news is that #naturebased climate solutions are already working behind the scenes today and we don’t need to reinvent the wheel. Read our latest article, written by Nicole Melancon, about the innovative work being done by a community in Sierra Gorda, Querétaro, Mexico. A story of resilience, innovation, and the extraordinary power of #localaction. 👊 Grupo Ecológico Sierra Gorda I.A.P. https://lnkd.in/gcgcpV4a
