It's a beautiful day for Chardonnay! As of today, Gloria Ferrer is about 80% of its way through harvest, with only a few blocks remaining. In the final days of harvest, we are turning our attention to the still wine blocks, anticipating the same level of quality we have seen in our fruit so far. It's official, harvest 2023 is here! 🍇 Our first pick of the season on August 29th marked the 41st year since our journey began here on our Carneros estate, and it was all smiles on the crush pad this morning. The cooler temperatures and good amount of rainfall this year has created the perfect conditions for sparkling wine growing. We're anticipating a highly concentrated yield with grapes that have enjoyed extended hang time on the vine late into the summer. This is the latest harvest we've ever experienced here at Gloria Ferrer and the team is already excited and impressed with the quality they're seeing. There is much more to come in the next few weeks and we look forward to keeping you up-to-date.
