Our hearts are full of gratitude! A few weeks ago, General Motors Milford Proving Grounds marked their 100th anniversary with The Lingenfelter Collection to host a car show that helped make a difference in our Livingston community! We're extremely appreciative, the GM retiree club was able to raise $7,631 for Gleaners of Livingston County. 💚 This was a great family event where guests were able to enjoy viewing one of the top-rated private car collections in the world. And thanks to our friends at United Dairy Industry of Michigan (Milk Means More) for donating an ice cream truck with free ice cream for everyone to enjoy. We are truly grateful to everyone that put this outstanding event together. We appreciate all who attended and donated, your support drives our mission forward. Thank you! 💚
It's moments like these - reflecting on the strength of our network of nearly 400 partners in SE Michigan, each contributing to the mission of nourishing our community - that truly inspire us. Our partners consist of schools, churches, senior centers, shelters, soup kitchens, and food pantries. They all play a critical role in helping us reach food-insecure households. This past Tuesday, we successfully held our 2024 Partner Agency Conference. It was inspiring and truly impactful. Our partners were able to learn, share ideas, give feedback, and participate in community connection and networking. We also had a dynamic keynote panel discussion titled "Bridging Communities, Keeping PACE & Celebrating Those Who Serve and Those We Serve." We all left this conference energized and empowered to continue doing the important work of nourishing lives. So, to all of our partners in the community - thank you for working so hard with us to feed our neighbors in need. We cannot do this work without you! 💚
