For the second year in a row SWAIR has been featured by Glamour Magazine as one of The Glamour 100: The Best Stuff to Buy, All Women Owned. As a small, boot-strapped business, being part of this list is transformational, to say the least. It helps with discovery, social proof and brand clout - the trifecta for a growing business. We are impressed by and grateful for Glamour's proactiveness is asking their readers to shop with their conscience to support founders and causes that resonate with their beliefs. My favorite quote from the intro to the list of brands says "Female founders are creating products designed specifically for women—products men couldn’t ever conceive of, let alone get right." This sentence resonates deeply because SWAIR was created with the mission to decrease post-workout prep time, so women could be active without worrying about the hair math. (I am pretty sure no guy has done hair math, but please let us know in the comments 😀 ) We are grateful for Glamour's on-going support of SWAIR and a special thanks to Perrie Samotin for including us along with so many wonderful brands. We did it again! For the second year in a row, RIES has been named one of the Glamour 100 By Women. Thank you editors at Glamour and Perrie Samotin for including us in this incredible list! I'll leave you with Perrie's wonderful words: "So many women-owned brands and female founders are creating products designed specifically for women—products men couldn’t ever conceive of, let alone get right. "And if you’re rolling your eyes, saying, “They’re supporting women by asking us to shop?” Actually, yes. To launch a small business is an incredibly difficult proposition. While there are more women-owned businesses in the US than ever before, they face greater challenges. Female entrepreneurs are usually offered smaller loans at higher interest rates and generally get the short end of the stick in terms of financing. (Last year US start-ups with all-women teams received 1.9% of the approximate $238.3 billion in venture capital allocated.)"

Last week Alexandra (Allie) Folino and I worked on the creative for Glamour's "By Women" initiative, highlighting 100 products to shop from 100 amazing woman-owned brands. We were lucky enough to have the support from Abbode, Fresh Sends, and GOOD AMERICAN so our photoshoot props were sourced from woman-owned brands as well. 💌 Some of my favorite woman-owned brands to shop are Fishwife, Kulfi, and of course I'm a sucker for any beaded creation that comes out of Susan Alexandra. We shot this video on a vintage camcorder!!
