I made a fatal LinkedIn algorithm mistake yesterday and I am REALLY disappointed in myself because I KNOW better. I used the word that starts with an "S" and ends with an "X" because it is in the title of Sandi Smith's book! on how to help women overcome pain and suffering. 🏃♀️ It's race week! 🏃♀️ With 12 weeks of half-marathon training behind me after a five-year, long-distance running hiatus, I have been reflecting a little bit. One of the main things I have reflected on is how grateful I am to be a physical therapist! 😃 At 51 years old and without sufficient base miles for proper training, I have been able to head off several running-related/old injuries because of my physical therapy knowledge. 🧠 peroneal tendinitis ✅ symphysis pubis dysfunction ✅ right sciatica ✅ hyperlordotic running posture with associated low back discomfort ✅ Left ITB syndrome ✅ There's probably more I could list but you get my point. How lucky are we physical therapists to be able to keep our bodies healthy with the knowledge we have? It's times like these I can't help but feel so grateful! #PhysicalTherapist #PhysicalTherapy #halfmarathon
