Gerdau’s story began 123 years ago in the Rio Grande do Sul state in Brazil. The region is recovering from major flooding due to historic rainfall that hit in May. This devastating natural disaster has led to the loss of lives, the destruction of homes, and the displacement of 500 employees and their families. Our North American colleagues have joined forces to support our global Gerdau family and have planned their own location-based fundraising initiatives.
