Public-Private Partnership (P3) legislation in Georgia has been a game-changer over the years, creating new pathways for transportation infrastructure project delivery and financing.   The project team for the express lanes on I-285 has been conducting pre-procurement activities to determine how best to deliver the proposed I-285 East Express Lanes and I-285 West Express Lanes. Exciting news! The State Transportation Board approved the use of alternative contracting methods (ACM) for the proposed I-285 East Express Lanes and I-285 West Express Lanes. This allows our Public-Private Partnership (P3) program to continue advancing the delivery of express lanes on I-285 which will be procured, constructed, and operated as two separate projects.
